These annual concerts carry on a tradition by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, who often held concerts in his studio for family and friends. The Mt. Washington Auto Road will open early on three Sundays in 2014 -- June 22, July 27, and August 31 -- to allow guests to drive themselves to the summit of Mount Washington to view the sunrise from the highest peak in the Northeast. Regular rates and vehicle restrictions apply. The State Park building will be open with limited food service on all three of these mornings. The Mt Washington Auto Road is located on NH Route 16 in Pinkham Notch, New Hampshire, 12 miles north of Jackson and 8 miles south of Gorham.
